June in Spain 2009

When travelling to Spain during the summer time, July and August are the most popular months to visit Spain. However June is still plenty going on as the Spanish take advantage of the great good weather. It is also nicer for the northern travelers, as June brings us very nice temperatures around 25 degrees, comparing to +30 degrees in July and August.

The best and most expected celebration of the month is “San Juan”over the 23rd and 24th of June. Most of the Spanish towns celebrate that nights with bonfires, good food and drinks and welcome the arrival of summer time.

In Malaga, as many other coastal towns, this event takes place on the beach, where the bonfires reflect on the sea and invite people to have a swim at night.
